Jade Swor grew up in Sarasota right on Phillippi Creek, then headed to the West Coast, spending a decade exploring mycology, biomimicry, and tribal relations across Washington and California. That path led Jade to found Metamimicry, a nonprofit focused on bioremediation, and to earn a Master's in Environmental Management along the way.

Jade returned home to Sarasota in 2025, drawn back by a desire to put that experience to work in the community that raised them. Jade is especially passionate about food and food scrap rescue to build happier soil and is excited to help Sunshine Community Harvest connect the dots of our food-shed network.
