Dr. Anne Miller

Executive Director

Over a decade ago, Dr. Anne Miller first discovered gleaning as a volunteer with Community Harvest SRQ (then known as Transition Sarasota).  It aligned with her desire to learn more about local food.  She continued volunteering with the organization as a gleaner and later as part of the Eat Local Week planning committee. Later, she joined the Board of Directors. She now serves as Acting Executive Director, providing vision and leadership.

After raising four fine men, Anne and her husband started a 5-acre livestock farm in DeSoto County. They offer classes on the farm, and Anne also teaches new farmers through the Sarasota IFAS Extension Small Farmers Startup School. Since she is the daughter of a Vietnam Veteran and the proud mother of two Naval Nuclear Submariners, Anne also works with local Veterans groups that introduce Veterans to agriculture.
