Thank You For Being The One During #GivingChallenge2020

The Giving Challenge presented by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County was a tremendous success! We are BLOWN AWAY by the love and generosity radiating throughout our community as we reflect on The 2020 Giving Challenge. This week brought an enormous outpouring of support for our local community, and it astounds and humbles us. Transition Sarasota DOUBLED their community donations from the 2018 Giving Challenge. A huge thank you goes out to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for their coordination  of this event and The Patterson Foundation for strengthening giving with matching.

Transition Sarasota is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and is part of Transition US. For almost a decade, Transition Sarasota has partnered with farms in Manatee and Sarasota Counties to glean excess produce and donate it to the area food banks. This provides local, nutritious produce to diverse populations, supports local farms with a tax deduction for donated produce, and builds community by uniting volunteers with interest in local, sustainable food.
