Compost sifting at Arlington Park

The compost bins have completed their work - it's time to sift, learn and distribute!

Thanks to folks in the area, food scraps have collected and turned into compost! Come be part of the harvest. We will:

-Go over the basics of compost. What are the ingredients, how do you mix them, and what is the alchemy that makes it happen?

-Sift out the woody pieces that are left to yield pure compost

-Distribute compost to program participants.

Participants - bring your food scrap container! You will be able to take home a bin of finished compost for your flower boxes or garden.
