The Garbage-Men is a band from Sarasota, FL who since 2010 have been encouraging recycling and giving back by playing music on instruments that they make themselves from garbage and recycled materials. This unique band will be playing at Sunflower Market Discount Grocery on Sunday, October 15th, from 5pm-7pm in support of Transition Sarasota’s Eat Local Week.

Sunflower Market Discount Grocery offers food at discount due to overproduction, packaging changes, short date codes, or dented packaging. With The Garbage-Men, Sunflower Discount Grocery, and Transition Sarasota (a non-profit food rescue organization) all working to keep things out of our landfill…this partnership can’t be beat! See you there!
