Join us for a guided tour of the rare fruit trail at the Palma Sola Botanical Park. Our protected warm micro-climate that is typically frost-free creates the perfect conditions to grow rare palms, fruits, flowering trees, and other subtropical plants. The Manatee Rare Fruit Council planted and continues to maintain an extensive exotic fruit tree section that includes the following: star fruit, dragon fruit, fig, guava, canistel, bird plum, African breadfruit, jackfruit, loquat, lychee, persimmon, pomelo, sapodilla, strawberry tree, sugar apple, Surinam cherry, tamarind, white sapote, ylang ylang, papaya, mulberry, noni, etc. If any of the fruit is ripe, we may be able to enjoy a tasting, as well.
