Join long-time school gardens coordinator Jayne Cobb as she walks us through a successful school garden - past and present. Under Jayne's direction, Center Montessori has integrated an edible school garden into the curriculum for almost 20 years. Jayne's enthusiam shows through as she talks about the full-spectrum education of gardening - science lessons that combine with social learning, that combine with the awakening that comes from students eating food they've nurtured.
Assisted by new garden coordinator Diondra Miles, Jayne educates about high-level inspiration, as well as nuts and bolts about how to set up beds, mulch, access starts and connect the garden to culinary experiences.
